Students who are relatively poor in English
The course would emphasize building foundational skills such as phonics, decoding, and fluency for students who struggle with reading. Special attention may also be given to vocabulary development and comprehension strategies to help students understand and analyze texts.
For students who struggle with writing, the course can also focus on building skills such as sentence structure, grammar, and paragraph development. Teachers may also work with students to develop their creative writing skills through exercises such as brainstorming, drafting, and revision.
In addition, the course may incorporate strategies to support students with learning disabilities or attention deficits, such as visual aids, multisensory activities, and opportunities for movement and hands-on learning.
